#1 Mom!

This award definately is not awarded to me. With this cold weather my kids are going crazy and feel the need to whine about the smallest thing. Yesterday I was pulling my hair out by 8 in the morning and I decided we needed a game. Grandma Sandy bought Braxton these great tunnels that pop up and connect so you can crawl through them and I decided that would be perfect for a cold day. Eventually they got bored and made a new game, tunnel boy. They would put the tunnels over their body and walk and call themselves tunnel boys. Braxton was having so much fun until he tripped and hit his head on the ottoman. He started crying and I just assumed he was whining again and didn't think much of it. Then he started screaming and I decided I probably better check on him. I pulled him out of the tunnel and blood was running down his face and hands. He had smeared it everywhere. I grabbed him and a towel and applied pressure and the cut just sealed up, thank goodness. Katelyn cut her eye in the same spot and had to have stitches so thankfully we didn't have to go through that. Braxton kept saying ow and his head was turning black and blue so I gave him some motrin for the pain and a nap. I then folded some laundry and started a new load and came to unload the dishwasher and found the motrin bottle empty. So we called poison control and learned Brennen would have to drink two full bottles of motrin to be poisoned. Poison control probably has a whole file on me by now. I have had to call them a few times to say the least. The scariest time is when Katelyn, who was then three, ate decon. We learned that it thins the blood and you die from internal bleeding. So anyhow this mothers day I will not be getting any mothering awards, especially from the poison control! But hey, at least my kids are healthy (most of the time) and happy!

Happy Birthday to Braxton

Braxton loved his invites. I had to give him one so he could carry around the pic of his "dump"

What a good brother helping Braxton fix his trailor.

Good thing the party was over when he dug in. The tractor must have been stuck at this point.

Braxton's birthday was Friday the 13th this year, spooky hu? So we had him a party on Sat. and he had so much fun. The wind was blowing while we were trying to get this pic so no one is looking at me but they are cute just the same. We had a dumptruck theme because Braxton is obsessed with "dumps" and trucks, and cars, and tractors, and anything else with an engine. Yes, he's all boy.

Braxton caught Ryan putting together his tractor so we didn't even have to wrap it! He loves it and will not get off it without throwing a huge fit. He sat on it while opening presents and taking the pic. Thank goodness the battery finally died two days later. This thing is like the energizer bunny.

Katelyn is the biggest helper. She stayed up from her nap to help me get everything finished. Then Em came over and helped us decorate and not a moment too soon I thought I would pass out from blowing up balloons.

This is my dumptruck cake that I made. I was quite proud of myself. Considering I've only made two decorated cakes in my life. I can't believe I forgot to get a pic of it on the table with all the decorations.

Go Fly a Kite

Katelyn and Grandpa went in the field after church (notice Katelyn's great tights) and he was teaching her to fly a kite. This is her throwing the kite to get it to "Launch." They had so much fun and of course it was the great debate about who was the best kite flyer.

Katelyn decided she is the best kite flyer because she taught Grandpa how to pull back on the string and start to run if the kite got to low, but Grandpa was pretty cool with his loop da loops he was doing (pure skill LOL!) she also decided Grandpa was smarter than Mom and that Casey had bigger muscles than Grandpa. Lots of insight for a five year old.
After a great hour of kite flying it got a little boring so why not spice it up a litte? The next step is what Madisen likes to call redneck. The day before they tried to fly kites but there was not enough wind so Ryan got on the fourwheeler and my dad sat backwards on the back and when Ry drove fast the kite would fly (too bad I didn't get those pics) so Katelyn wanted to try. She sat in the ranger and Grandpa drove and away they went. They all had a lot of fun and Katelyn is officially a great kite flyer and Grandpa is officially the favorite.

The Best Toy Ever

If you don't have these you are really missing out! It's called a box. And you can do anything with it. It can be a hide-out (notice the little faces peeping out), it can turn any child into a robot, and it's also a great toy to start a wrestling match! LOL! We got this AMAZING toy when the kids needed new boosters. And now they have had fun for hours. Hey this could mean that Christmas might be really cheap this year!

Following Suit

Okay so I was talking to Tiff and she changed her blog from private back to public because she hated it so she has inspired me to give it another try. I am going public again and we'll see how it goes. It is so frustrating when you see someones blog link that you know and go to click on it and it says I am sorry you are not invited. Talk about being rejected. (On that same note would my family who has gone private please send me an invite?) Blogspot saves the readers list so if I change my mind again I will still have all those who had already been invited. Happy Blogging.

Selling My House

Okay so we are having the itch to build again. I know right now is not the best time to sell and there are probably 20 houses for sale in my ward but, what the heck, why not join the fun? So if you know anyone who wants to buy a house send them my way! Oh and I probably won't be saying hi on any of my family's blogs because none of them invited me when they all went private.
