Six stockings, is it a sign?

No it is not. I never thought anyone would even notice that but everyone has been asking me about our six stockings. I am not pregnant. Which was my Dad's first question. You are all going to think I am weird but when I was hanging my stockings it was driving me nuts that there was one empty peg on one side and two empty pegs on the other. So we decided to hang a stocking for our dog scoot. He is quite spoiled and he will be so happy when Santa leaves him some yummy treats. When we came home from Disney Land his bowl of food was full and he did not eat for two days after. Finally Ryan dumped out his food to make sure nothing was wrong with it and when Ryan fed him he ate it. He just did not like someone else feeding him. My dad said it got to the point that he would not come out of his doghouse. All is well now and our dog is happy to have us home. Anyway that was a long story to tell about six stockings.

Fuzzy wuzzy was a Horse?

I love my fat little horses. In the summer they get very sleek but winter is my favorite. I have to say my favorite horse is Mister. He is so fat then he gets shaggy and he just looks so cuddly. When we go to the field they come and nuzzle your pockets and try to get in them because they know thats where the treats are kept. Our kids are getting too big and we need to get another big horse but me and the kids are just not ready to part with our fuzzy little friends.

Why am I here? why am I here? Why am I here?

Thanksgiving was YUMMY at our house. I have to say my favorite part is the yams but my Dad's fried turkey is giving it a run for the money. If you have never tried deep fried turkey you are really missing out, it's WONDERFUL! So the food was good but when it came time for the day after rabbit hunt things got a little crazy. Ryan and Brennen got everything ready to go and Ryan went out to load the four wheeler. Well, the ramp broke and the four wheeler flipped on top of him and pinned him underneath. He was in the drive way so when he came down he hit his head on the cement and knocked himself out. Luckily my dad was closing the gate to the field and heard it happen. I was in the kitchen and saw my dad running across the backyard and knew something was wrong. (I didn't know my dad could run that fast) My dad got the four wheeler off of him and he got up. Ryan said he was okay he just needed to sit down. We came in the house and he started asking who got the guns out. Oh great. He had a concussion and could not remember anything. I thought it might clear up so we waited to go to the hospital but after starting the same conversation over every two minutes we decided it was time. At the hospital they just watched him for a while and the nurses were laughing because every two minutes like clock work I had to explain to him why he was there. I was talking to him to see how much he had forgotten and when I told him we were going to Disney Land he got so excited. I have to say it was pretty scary there for a bit when he couldn't remember where he worked or what he did. He kept saying he knew he had a job but he didn't know if he was supposed to be there or what he did. He didn't know that Casey and Emily were having a baby, so that was big news. He couldn't remember Thanksgiving at all and still cannot remember most of Friday. All the tests came back great and other than a majorly sore body he is fine. Oh and Megen he is still not sure if certain things really happened! LOL!

Pheasant Hunt

Brennen has an obsession with hunting. He loves guns, bows and arrows, and especially his sling shot. Look out I know. So when Travis called my dad and wanted all the boys to come over and hunt Brennen was not staying home. He carried the birds the entire time and my younger brothers came home saying they didn't know how his arms didn't fall off. I think they were just glad not to have to pack them. Of course his shirt was covered in blood but that is not even the best part. His prize possession from that hunt is the BIRD FOOT. If I find that disgusting foot laying around one more time I might just lose it. It has the tendon hanging out so you can pull it and the claws will open and close. He thinks it is just great and has not quit playing with it for days. Gross, I know, but boys will be boys. Ryan loves to pheasant hunt but he had to work so when He got home from work that night Brennen climbed up on his lap and said, "Don't be sad Dad, next time I will take you." He doesn't have to wait long, the day after Thanksgiving is the annual rabbit hunt and I am just waiting to see what the prize will be this time around. Which is worse a rabbit or pheasant foot?
